Creakers
Creaks are created by friction between two materials. Pictured below are just two ways to create them. The first device is a rope wrapped around a dowel with I-bolts to allow adjusting the tension. The rope and dowel have rosin applied to increase the effect.

The second is a dowell insterted into a hole/slit in a larger dowel. The pipe clamp allows adjusting the tension. Again rosen can increase the effect.

Remember that most creakers will need tuning prior to performance as their effectiveness is effected by temprature and humidity.
